[?] These trained professionals are key to driving the success of significant construction projects throughout the region.

Market Expansion Leads to Enhanced Industry Standards

A report by Mordor Intelligence says the market, valued at $169.3 billion in 2024, is likely to hit $216.80 billion by 2029. [?] This suggests a yearly growth rate of more than 5%. In response to this growth, Mohamed Amer, Regional Director of Operations at ICC MENA, expressed his views on the need for ICC programs in the region.
ICC is actively enhancing code-based training through ongoing partnerships with local authorities and private sector stakeholders. We tailor our programs to align with regional codes like the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and the Abu Dhabi International Building Code (ADIBC).

Filling the Skills Shortage with Hands-on Training

GCC countries, particularly the UAE, suffer from a shortage of skilled workers in the construction industry. [?] ICC responds to this gap by offering a range of programs from basic to advanced certifications, training new staff for the industry.

Looking forward, ICC plans to deepen its impact in the GCC by creating content in English and Arabic and expanding its training offerings through partnerships with local authorities and institutions. This strategy aims to arm many construction professionals in the GCC with the knowledge and skills necessary for building a resilient and lasting infrastructure.
