G42 Expands UAE’s AI Infrastructure with Stargate Project

G42 has announced steady progress on the Stargate UAE project, a 1GW large-scale AI infrastructure cluster currently under construction by Khazna Data Centers, a G42 company. This project is part of the broader 5GW UAE–U.S initiative.

AI Campus in Abu Dhabi represents one of the country’s most significant steps toward developing next-generation digital and construction infrastructure.

Accelerated Development of the First 200MW

Working in close partnership with global leaders OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, Cisco, and SoftBank, the team has already begun building the first 200 MW phase of the 1 GW facility on an accelerated timeline. According to a G42 spokesperson, construction is progressing well and remains on track for completion by 2026.

The project’s momentum highlights the growing importance of large-scale infrastructure development in propelling the UAE’s construction sector forward. Khazna’s design-to-build approach ensures a seamless transition from concept to execution, reducing delays and optimizing coordination across the design, civil, structural, and architectural phases.

Strong Supply Chain and Engineering Progress

The engineering, mechanical, and electrical work is progressing as planned. All long-lead equipment has been procured, and key modular components are now entering production. The initial delivery of mechanical systems has arrived on site, confirming the stability of the supply chain and the strength of vendor partnerships.
