The campaign's objective is to reduce the number of accidents and injuries and promote adherence to safety regulations as well as to enhance security awareness among construction workers and contractors. It refers to Dubai's engineers, consultants, supervisors, contracting and engineering companies.

The Municipality has initiated various awareness campaigns to reach for the principles of structural protection and emphasize the importance of ensuring the well-being of workers at the sites.

One of the notable measures reported by the Municipality is over 35,000 field surveillance visits to construction sites, to ensure compliance with safety standards outlined in the "Code of Construction Safety Practice".

The key components of the UAE's comprehensive safety campaign include:

  1. Worker's Safety and Protection. Emphasis on workers' protection and fostering a healthy working environment.

  2. Structural Awareness. Launch multiple awareness campaigns to emphasize the importance of safeguarding workers' health.

  3. Innovative Measures. Support for creativity means prioritizing and implementing safety requirements and protecting workers from potential risks.

  4. Sustainable Health System. Efforts to offer a sustainable health system, implementing the best standards for the well-being of all individuals, especially at construction sites.

  5. Code of Construction Safety Practice. Adherence to guidelines outlined in the point is to ensure the highest safety standards.

  6. Field Surveillance Visits. Implementing 35,672 field surveillance visits on approximately 14,858 construction sites, ensuring safety standards, contractor awareness, and personal protection for workers.

  7. Fake Evacuation Activity. Simulated evacuation activity to assess authorities' speed, efficiency, and response capabilities in addressing hypothetical incidents on construction sites.

  8. Medical Examinations and Awareness Initiatives. Worker medical examinations, awareness seminars, lectures, and workshops under the 'Safety Tent Activity' in Jebel Ali and Muhaisnah to enhance site workers' awareness of security requirements.

These components reflect a multi-faceted approach that addresses various aspects to create a secure working and living environment in the UAE.

Dubai Municipality's initiative in a thorough campaign positively impacts both workers and companies in general. The administration found it the way to new horizons of safety engineering in the construction business sector.
